Veronica joined Bench Walk Advisors as Chief Financial Officer in 2023. She previously spent 5 years as Chief Financial Officer of Connacht Asset Management, a multi-strategy, equity long/short, and long only investment firm where she was responsible for all fund accounting, management company accounting, tax, financial reporting, valuation, compliance, and regulatory reporting.
Prior to joining Connacht Asset Management, Veronica spent 18 years at York Capital Management, an alternative investment platform comprised of multi-strategy, equity long/short, opportunistic credit, private equity, hybrid private equity, CLOs, UCITS funds, and fund of funds where she was Managing Director and Senior Controller of Accounting managing a department of fifteen accounting professionals who were responsible for fund accounting, financial reporting, valuation, and regulatory reporting.
During this time she also served as an adjunct professor at Fordham University from 2008-2011 where she was responsible for developing curriculum and conducting undergraduate lectures on various accounting and auditing topics including business ethics, Sarbanes Oxley, internal controls, audit committees, and business fraud.
Prior to joining York Capital Management, Veronica was a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
She graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University in 1999, with a BS degree in Accounting.
